Sara Westbrook is a Canadian entrepreneur, motivational speaker, author and songwriter known for her work with the concert series UPower. Born on April 23, 1982 in Toronto, Canada, Sara has been dedicated to empowering youth to build resilience and confidence through a unique combination of speaking and singing.
At the age of three, Sara decided she wanted to become a singer. Following her parents’ divorce and enduring constant ridicule from a classmate at eleven years old, her mother sent her to participate in her first motivational course. This experience had a profound impact on Sara’s life. When she turned eighteen, an event where she sang for kids inspired the creation of UPower that blends motivational speaking and music.
In addition to her live performances, Sara has also released self-help materials including an interactive journal for youth aiming at building resilience and self-confidence as well as musical albums.
Notably, Sara shares her work on a self-titled YouTube channel featuring videos of performances, speaking events as well as music videos showcasing some of her original songs.
Sara is married to George Westbrook with whom she has one son named Kai.
