Sandy Ratcliff was an English TV actress born on October 2, 1948 in England. She gained fame as one of the original cast members of the BBC soap opera EastEnders.
Before her acting career took off, Ratcliff had a challenging childhood and even served time in prison for selling cannabis. She worked various jobs, including waitressing, before pursuing acting.
In 1989, Ratcliff struggled with a heroin addiction which led to her being written off EastEnders. She was married to photographer Peter Wright from the late 1960s until 1973 and had a son named William.
