Samatha Black, born on September 2nd, 1984 in San Diego, California is a renowned fashion designer and the founder of Sammy B Designs and Samantha Black fashion lines. Her work has adorned celebrities such as Keri Hilson, Angela Simmons and La La Anthony.
Prior to gaining fame for her label, she showcased her talents on season 11 of Project Runway and later appeared in the spin-off series Project Runway: All Stars season four. She was honored with the title “Designer to Watch” by Essence and Ebony magazine. In addition to her prowess in fashion design, she has also delved into DJing and music production, signing with Ayita Music Management.
Originally from San Diego, California where her love for clothing began at an early age, she pursued a BFA in fashion design at Pratt Fashion School before spending six years living in Australia honing her skills as a DJ and music producer.
