About S.A. Bodeen
S.A. Bodeen, born on August 6, 1965 in Wisconsin, is an American Young Adult Author. She is best known for her popular young adult science fiction books such as The Compound and The Gardner. Bodeen has also created picture books like Elizabeti’s Doll, which received numerous honors including the Charlotte Zolotow Award and the Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Award.
Before her writing career took off, she was raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Interestingly, S.A. Bodeen has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in East Africa.
She is married and has daughters.
