About Ryoko Hirosue
Ryoko Hirosue is a Japanese actress and singer, born on July 18, 1980. She is known for her roles in the Academy Award-winning 2008 film Departures and in the 2001 film Wasabi.
Hirosue entered the P&G model competition at the age of 14 and made her television debut at 15 on TK Music Camp. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Television Drama Academy Awards for her role as Makoto Saeki in the 2003 series Moto Kare.
In 2010, Hirosue married candle artist Jun Izutsu, with whom she has two children.
