Ryan McGinness, born on January 9, 1972 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is an American artist known for his work as a painter. His artwork has been featured in exhibits and museums across the globe, including prestigious institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, MUSAC in Spain, and The MISUMI Art Collection in Japan. Over the course of his career, McGinness has held numerous solo exhibits worldwide.
Prior to gaining recognition as an artist, he attended Carnegie Mellon University. As of 2016, he had published over eighteen works featuring his art through catalogues, books and monographs.
McGinness’ personal life includes a relationship with Trish Goodwin, a real estate agent based in New York.
