About Rougui Dia
Rougui Dia is a French chef born on February 27, 1976, in France. She has made a name for herself as one of the most respected female chefs in France.
She gained recognition while serving as Executive Chef at Le 144, a restaurant affiliated with the famous Petrossian dining establishment in Paris. Dia later went on to preside over the kitchen at Le Vraymonde, an upscale restaurant located in Paris’ Buddha-Bar Hotel.
Prior to her rise to culinary fame, Dia studied catering and hotel management instead of traditional schooling. Her career began when she became a cook in Petrossian’s vegetable department and was soon appointed sous-chef.
In 2014, Dia received the prestigious Trofemina Trophy for her culinary skills and philanthropic work. Born in Paris to Senegalese parents, she grew up alongside six siblings.
