About Rosmah Mansor
Rosmah Mansor (born December 10, 1951) is a prominent Malaysian figure known for her role as the wife of Malaysia’s sixth Prime Minister, Najib Razak, who assumed office in 2007. She hails from Kuala Pilah, Malaysia and has been actively involved in humanitarian efforts worldwide.
Prior to her prominence as the country’s first lady, Rosmah pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Malaya in 1974. She furthered her studies with a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Agriculture from Louisiana State University.
Besides being deeply committed to social causes, she has also spearheaded national initiatives such as the PERMATA movement which aimed to enhance childhood education across Malaysia. Rosmah married Najib Razak when he was the Deputy Youth Chief of UMNO party; they have played an influential role within Malaysia’s political landscape.
