About Rosie Maclennan
Rosie Maclennan, born on August 28, 1988 in King City, Canada, is a renowned trampoline gymnast. She achieved international fame after winning the gold medal in the individual event at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.
Maclennan’s interest in trampolining began when she observed her siblings training on trampolines. By age 11, she was already competing at an international level.
At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Maclennan scored a personal best of 57.305 for her final routine and secured Canada’s only gold medal of the entire Olympics.
Hailing from a family with deep ties to gymnastics, her grandfather was selected as a gymnast for the 1940 Summer Olympics in Tokyo but never got to compete due to the outbreak of World War II.
