Rosanne Sorrentino is an American movie actress, best known for her role as Pepper in the 1982 film adaptation of the musical Annie. She was born on January 15, 1968, in Long Island, New York.
Prior to her breakthrough role in Annie, Sorrentino portrayed the title character in the national theatrical tour of the show from 1980 to 1981. Her interest in acting developed during the mid-1970s when she participated in a workshop at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Following her time as a child star, Sorrentino settled down on Long Island where she got married and became a mother of two daughters while pursuing a career as a middle school teacher.
In addition to her work on screen and stage, Sorrentino was featured in “Life After Tomorrow,” a documentary released in 2006 that explored the post-Annie lives of several cast members.
