About Rosalind Groenewoud
Rosalind Groenewoud is a Canadian Olympic free skier born on December 10, 1989, in Calgary. She gained recognition for her impressive silver medal win in the superpipe event at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Prior to this achievement, Groenewoud secured two gold medals at the 2012 X Games.
Her interest in skiing was sparked after watching the 2002 Olympics, and she later joined the Canadian national team in 2011. Additionally, she pursued higher education at Quest University where she studied physics and math. Throughout her career, Groenewoud has been sponsored by notable companies like General Mills and Bell Canada.
Groenewoud hails from Calgary where she grew up alongside her brother Luke.
