About Rocio Banquells
Rocio Banquells (born June 22, 1958) is a Mexican pop singer and actress. She is known for her successful albums such as Entrega Total (1987) and the self-titled Rocio Banquells (1985). Banquells also had a prominent acting career, starring in the popular telenovela Los Ricos Tambien Lloran.
Before rising to fame, Banquells appeared in an episode of the telenovela Gutierritoz in the late 1960s. She later pursued a professional stage career and starred in a production of The Sound of Music in 1978.
Banquells has participated in reality television programs such as Cantando por un Sueno during the early 2000s. She was born to actors Dina de Marco and Rafael Banquells and is the half-sister of actress Sylvia Pasquel. Growing up in Monterrey, Mexico, she has been married to Pedro Mendez and Jorge Berlanga, with whom she has children named Pamela and Rodrigo.
