Rita Baga, born on May 26, 1987 in Canada, is a Canadian drag queen and reality star. She gained widespread recognition as a top three finalist in the first season of Canada’s Drag Race. Originally performing under the name Rita d’Marde, she started her drag career in 2007 with a medley performance from the film Sister Act at Cabaret Mado in Montreal.
Prior to her stint on Canada’s Drag Race, Baga worked as the director of programming for Fierte Montreal, an annual LGBT pride festival. In addition to her public persona, she has also been open about her personal life and past relationships, having dated Yannick Brouillette and using Jean-Francois Guevremont as her real name.
