About Rina Hirata
Rina Hirata (born July 16, 1998) is a pop singer best known for her time as a member of AKB48’s girl group Team A. Hailing from Arizona, she is recognized for her single “Kimi no Hohoemi wo Yume ni Miru” and her contributions to albums such as High School Days and Miniskirt no Yosei.
Prior to joining the music industry, she entered the AKB48 group as part of Kenkyuusei in April of 2011. Over the following years, she was promoted through various teams within the organization before ultimately graduating from Team A in August 2016.
Besides her musical endeavors, Hirata is noted for her fluency in English, which led to opportunities such as serving as a translator and interpreter for AKB48’s Washington D.C. concert and appearing on Nogizaka46’s English show Eigo.
She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.
