About Rie Tomosaka
Rie Tomosaka is a Japanese actress and singer, known for her role in the NHK television series Kora, Nanba Shiyotto in 1992. She was born on October 12, 1979 in Japan.
Tomosaka was born to a beautician father and achieved a fifth dan at Japanese calligraphy during her youth. She later attended Teikyo University in 1998, where she initially majored in International Culture before eventually dropping out.
In 1999, she publicly admitted to struggling with an eating disorder. Tomosaka was married to theatre director Masahiko Kawahara from 2003 to 2004 and they had a son together in October of that year.
