Rhyme Michaelson-Lara, also known by her stage name RHYME, is a DJ and model born on December 25, 1994 in Sydney, Australia.
Her music can be described as experimental rock n roll mixed with electronica. She gained popularity after releasing an EP titled Massacre Mind on SoundCloud in 2016, and her single “Ominous Sounds” in 2017.
Prior to her career as a DJ, Rhyme trained as a classical saxophonist and reached AMEB level 4 in school before transitioning to pursue freeform jazz incorporated into her stylistic production.
In addition to her music career, she has worked as a model in China, Indonesia, and America for clients such as CHANEL, Vorfory, and TopShop. Rhyme has also been featured on the track “District Twelve” by Cheric & Amin.
Rhyme is the daughter of rock star Richard Lara and Michelle Michaelson; the latter being a stylist and makeup artist who toured with Chrissy Amphlett of Divinyls Lead.
