Reiko Chiba is a Japanese actress and J-Pop singer best known for her role as Mei/Ptera Ranger in the 1992 series KyAryA« Sentai Zyuranger. She was born on January 8, 1975 in Japan and was raised in Fukushima Prefecture. Chiba began her career as a model in 1991 before transitioning into acting.
In addition to her acting roles, Reiko Chiba also became a member of the music group Aurora Gonin Musume. In 2011, she became a spokesperson for Kokoro no Mimi, a mental health website, after publicly sharing her own battle with depression.
Chiba is married to Tetsuhito Kirihara; they tied the knot in 1998.
