About Regina Case
Regina Case is a Brazilian actress and filmmaker born on February 25, 1954 in Rio de Janeiro. She is known for her acclaimed performances in films such as The Second Mother, Me You Them, and Made in China. In addition to acting, she has also ventured into screenwriting, directing, and producing with projects like Central da Periferia, Esquenta!, and City of Men.
Prior to gaining recognition in the film industry, Case co-founded the theatre company Asdrubal Trouxe o Trombone in 1974. Her notable contributions to Brazilian culture led her to be involved in the opening ceremonies for the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro.
Coming from a family with Geraldo Case and Heleida Barreto as parents, Regina was married to Luiz Zerbini from 1982 until 1996 and they had a daughter named Benedita together. Following their divorce, she tied the knot with Estevao Ciavatta in 1999 and they have a son named Roque.
