Rachel Elizabeth Murray (born December 18, 1983) is a celebrity fitness personality and the CEO and founder of Rachel Murray’s Cause Fitness LLC. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she has been a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach since 2008. Murray is an author of several fitness books, including Cause Fitness: Thinspo to Fitspo and Cause Fitness: Bikinis & Boardshorts.
Murray was born into an athletic family and participated in various sports while growing up. She learned to swim before she could even walk. She studied communications at Washington State University while also participating in intramural sports.
Notably, she has been a fitness model represented by Wilhelmina NY. Murray was born as the oldest of four children to parents Stephen and Karen Murray; her father was an army surgeon and triathlete, while her mother was a second-grade teacher.
