About Rachel Jones
Rachel Jones (born June 9, 1989) was a blogger and self-proclaimed hippie from Ohio, known for founding the travel and fashion blog Hippie in Heels. She was dedicated to making traveling glamorous yet affordable, and visited over 40 countries during her lifetime.
Before pursuing a life of travel, Jones studied nursing at Ohio State University and worked in cardiac care for almost a year. She briefly experimented with being a travel nurse before fully embracing her nomadic lifestyle. In addition to Hippie in Heels, she also managed a lifestyle account called Omni Curated.
Jones grew up in a small town in Ohio before relocating to India where she resided for five years before moving to Mexico. She had an older brother and became engaged to Ben Sullivan after six years of dating. Tragically, she passed away from an asthma attack while celebrating her bachelorette party in Orlando, Florida.
