About Rachel Gowey
Rachel Gowey is an American gymnast born on October 3, 1997, in Des Moines, Iowa. She gained recognition for winning a gold medal in the uneven bars at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Gowey participated in the 2016 Olympic Gymnastics Trials but did not make the final team for the 2016 Olympics. Before her rise to fame, she joined the US National Team in 2014 and achieved Senior International Elite status.
She committed to the University of Florida gymnastics team as part of the class of 2016 and also secured a team gold medal at the 2016 Pan Am games. Rachel was born to Rhonda and Jerry Gowey and has two sisters.
