About Polina Semionova
Polina Semionova is a renowned ballet dancer known for her performances in lead roles such as The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Swan Lake, and The Sleeping Beauty. Born on September 13, 1984, in Moscow, Russia, she gained recognition for her talents at a young age.
Before achieving widespread acclaim, Polina attended the Bolshoi Ballet School where she excelled and won top ballet competitions. In 2001, she captured a gold medal at the Moscow International Ballet Competition. Her exceptional skill and dedication to her craft led to an important milestone when she became the youngest principal in Berlin State Ballet’s history at just 18 years old in 2002.
Beyond her role with the Berlin State Ballet Academy, Polina has also served as a permanent guest principal dancer at esteemed institutions including the Mikhailovsky Theatre and Teatro alla Scala.
