Paulina Abascal, born on December 11, 1972 in Mexico, is a renowned Mexican chef and Instagram star. She has been widely acclaimed by the foreign press as the Best Pastry Chef of Mexico.
Abascal gained recognition through her cooking appearances on the El Gourmet channel and has amassed a following of over 900,000 on her self-titled blog and Instagram where she shares photos of her delectable pastries and desserts.
Her passion for baking began at the young age of seven and led to her pursuing a degree in hospitality, studying in France, Belgium, and Spain. In 2004, she joined the Culinary Academy of France after representing Mexico at the World Cup of Pastry in France.
In addition to being an accomplished chef, Abascal has received numerous accolades including a Barbie Award for female entrepreneurship in Mexico as well as the prestigious Gold Medal from the Culinary Academy of France.
She resides with her husband Valentin in their native Mexico.
