About Patrizia Reggiani
Patrizia Reggiani, born on December 2, 1948 in Vignola, Italy, is a well-known criminal who gained notoriety for her involvement in the murder of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci in 1995. Following a high-profile trial, she was convicted and sentenced to 29 years in prison in 1998. After serving 18 years of her sentence, she was released on good behavior in 2016.
Prior to her criminal activities, Reggiani married Maurizio Gucci in 1970 and enjoyed a lavish lifestyle as a New York socialite after receiving a penthouse from Gucci’s father Rodolfo Gucci. However, the couple returned to Milan in 1982 before their marriage fell apart and they officially divorced in 1994.
During her trial, Reggiani earned the moniker “Black Widow” by the media. It is also known that she developed a fondness for animals while incarcerated and obtained permission to keep a pet ferret named Bambi.
Reggiani shares two children with Maurizio Gucci: Alessandra born in 1976 and Allegra born in 1981.
