Patrice Talon, born on May 1st, 1958 in Ouidah, Benin, is a world leader who currently serves as the President of Benin after assuming office in April 2016. Prior to his political career, he worked in agriculture and trading during the 1980s. In a controversial turn of events, Talon was accused of embezzling 18 million Euros in 2012 and subsequently fled to France. However, he was later pardoned in 2014.
