About Nina Zilli
Nina Zilli, born Maria Chiara Fraschetta on February 2, 1980 in Piacenza, Italy, is an Italian pop singer-songwriter. She gained international recognition when she represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with her song “L’amore e femmina,” finishing in 9th place.
Before her Eurovision success, Zilli founded her first band called The Jerks in 1997 and went on to achieve popularity with singles like “L’uomo che amava Le donne” and “Bacio d’a(d)dio” from her album Sempre Lontano. In addition to her music career, she also became a judge on the sixth season of Italia’s Got Talent.
Zilli’s early years saw her relocating to Ireland at age 13 where she began performing live. She has since found love with Omar Hassan whom she has been dating since 2018.
