About Nicole Stott
Nicole Stott is a retired NASA astronaut, best known for her role as a flight engineer on ISS Expeditions 20 and 21. She was born on November 19, 1962 in Albany, New York. Stott announced her retirement from NASA in June of 2015 after dedicating 27 years to the organization.
Prior to becoming an astronaut, Stott began her career at NASA as an Operations Engineer in the Orbiter Processing Facility. In addition to her work with NASA, she made history in 2009 by becoming one of the first people to live-tweet from space.
Stott was married to Christopher Stott and continues to be involved in various activities related to space exploration following her retirement.
