About Nicola Dempsey
Nicola Dempsey is an English comedian known for her work as one half of the comedy music duo Flo and Joan, alongside her sister Rosie Dempsey. Born on January 1st, 1111 in England, she gained popularity for performing observational songs while playing the keyboard.
Prior to her comedic career, Dempsey lived in Toronto and received training in sketch and improv at various theaters including iO, Second City, and Bad Dog Comedy Theatres in Chicago and Toronto.
She and her sister rose to fame with their viral hit song “The 2016 Song” on YouTube. Additionally, they performed at notable events such as Montreal Sketchfest, Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. Their collaborative efforts also resulted in the release of an album titled “Victory Flaps.”
