About Nicki Shields
Nicki Shields (born November 1, 1985) is a British TV show host and YouTuber known for her work as a pit lane reporter for Formula E and for her appearances on the BBC One show Escape to the Country and CNN’s Supercharged and Saved by the Future.
Shields developed an interest in racing while bonding with her father over races during her childhood. She attended Lady Eleanor Holles School before pursuing biological sciences at the University of Bristol. Her broadcasting career began in 2012 on The Gadget Show Live, leading to her role as a Formula E pit lane reporter from 2014 onwards.
Besides hosting, Shields has amassed over 50,000 followers on Instagram. She is an enthusiast of cars and science, which led to her becoming an ambassador for The Girls on Track UK program by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile.
Shields was born and raised in Twickenham, England, where she currently resides with her husband Mark Sainthill whom she married in September 2014. They have one son together who was born in 2019.
