Nazia Hassan was a Pakistani pop singer born on April 3, 1965, in Karachi, Pakistan. She is best known for her iconic song “Aap Jaisa Koi” from the Indian film Qurbani and has achieved record-breaking sales of tens of millions of records worldwide.
Before rising to fame, she was raised in both Karachi and London. Her first album, Disco Deewane, became a massive success, breaking record sales in Pakistan and India. It also topped charts in the West Indies, Latin America, and Russia. Additionally featured vocals by her brother Zohaib Hassan.
In 1995 she got married to Mirza Ishtiaq Baig but divorced ten days prior to her death after having one son together.
