About Nayantara
Nayantara, born on November 18, 1984 in Bengaluru, India, is an award-winning Indian actress known for her work in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Some of her best-known films include “Sri Rama Rajyam” (2011) and “Billa” (2007). Nayantara received a degree in English literature from Marthoma College before making her screen debut in the 2003 Malayalam film “Manassinakkare”. She has won the Nandi and Filmfare Awards for Best Actress for her performance in “Sri Rama Rajyam”.
She was raised with her brother Leno by Malayali Syrian parents who practiced Christianity. In 2011, Nayantara converted to Hinduism. In June 2022, she married director Vignesh Shivan.
