About Natalia Lashchenova
Natalia Lashchenova (born September 16, 1973) is a Latvian-born Soviet gymnast. She gained fame for competing at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1989 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Lashchenova started training in gymnastics at age six and entered international competition by the time she was twelve. She achieved success as a gymnast, winning a gold medal at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.
After her competitive career, Lashchenova and her family emigrated to the United States.
