About Naima Akef
Naima Akef was an Egyptian actress and belly dancer, born on October 7, 1929 in Tanta, Egypt. She gained prominence for her appearances in numerous films from 1949 to 1964.
Akef’s early introduction to performance came at the age of 4 when she began as an acrobat in the circus. Her first film role came with “Aish Wal Malh” in 1949.
Her family background also contributed to her talent, as both of her parents were acrobats who performed in the Akef Circus managed by her grandfather.
