About Nadira Babbar
Nadira Babbar (born January 20, 1948) is an Indian stage and theatre actress known for her founding of the acclaimed theatre group Ekjute. She has gained recognition for her performances in productions such as Yahudi Ki Ladki and has also appeared in popular films like Bride and Prejudice (2004) and Jai Ho (2014).
Babbar graduated from the National School of Drama in 1971 before pursuing further studies in Germany. In 2001, she was honored with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the highest distinction bestowed upon artists by the Indian government.
She is married to actor and politician Raj Babbar, with whom she has a son named Arya who is also an actor, and a daughter named Juhi who works as a fashion designer.
