About Nadia Nakai
Nadia Nakai, born on May 18, 1990 in South Africa, is a prominent rapper known for her win in the Mixtape 101 competition on the ETV show Shiz Niz. Her career took off after releasing her first official single “Like Me” in 2013 and gaining recognition for being featured on the remix of Riky Rick’s song “Amantombazane.” In 2019, she released her first original album titled Nadia Naked.
Before gaining fame as a rapper, Nakai attended high school in Fourways, South Africa before moving to Kenya. Notably, she served as a judge on the MC portion of the SABC1 hip-hop show Battle Stations and won Music Artist of the Year at the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards in 2016.
Her family background involves growing up as Nadia Dlamini but changing her surname to match her mother’s when she was 16. Additionally, she has been romantically linked with South African DJ Dotcom.
