About Morris Kay
Morris Kay (born July 31, 1932) is an American Republican politician who served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1967 to 1973. He ran for governor in the 1972 Kansas Gubernatorial race, ultimately losing to incumbent Governor Robert Docking.
Before entering politics, Kay attended Kansas State University and captained the 1953 Kansas Jayhawks football team. He also served in the U.S. Army and worked as an insurance executive.
In addition to his political career, Kay was chairman of the Kansas Republican Party from 1979 to 1982.
Kay was born in St. John, Kansas and is married to Sally Marmon.
