Monique Davis (born August 19, 1936) is an American politician who has served as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives. She began her career as a teacher and school administrator in the Chicago Public Schools before entering politics.Davis graduated from Calumet High School and went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in elementary education from Chicago State University. She later pursued further coursework at Roosevelt University.During her time in the Illinois Senate, Davis collaborated with then-U.S. Senator Barack Obama on two successful bills in 2003. Davis was married to Robert Davis and had a son and a daughter before their divorce.
