About Monica Zetterlund
Monica Zetterlund, born Eva Monica Nilsson on September 20, 1937 in Hagfors, Sweden, was a prominent jazz singer known for her Swedish-language renditions of popular songs such as ‘Walking My Baby Back Home’ and ‘Hit the Road, Jack.’ She rose to fame through collaborations with renowned jazz musicians including Quincy Jones and Louis Armstrong. In addition to her discography which includes early albums like Swedish Sensation and Ahh! Monica, Zetterlund’s career was cut short due to scoliosis at the age of sixty-two. Tragically, she passed away at the age of sixty-seven in Stockholm as a result of an apartment fire.
