Molly Maginnis (born December 24, 1951) is an American costume designer known for her work in film and television. She was born in Washington, DC and has made a name for herself in the fashion industry.
Maginnis’ impressive career includes working as an assistant costume designer on the 1984 film Birdy starring Nicolas Cage and Matthew Modine. Her talents have also been showcased in popular productions such as Smash, Bones, and Sister Act.
In recognition of her exceptional work on the television series Smash, Maginnis received a Costume Designers Guild Award in 2013. Additionally, she has family ties to the entertainment industry through her son Sam Tippe, who had a role in the 2004 film In Good Company.
