Mmatema Moremi, born on February 26, 1992 in Limpopo, South Africa, is a prominent figure in the country’s music and entertainment scene. Initially gaining recognition for her Christian music, Mmatema rose to fame as the runner-up on the popular singing competition show Idols SA in 2015. With a growing following of over 500,000 fans on her mmatema_ Instagram account, she has established herself as a musician, presenter, and influencer.
Throughout her childhood, Mmatema showcased her musical talents and was booked for performances at ceremonies in her hometown by age 10. While studying technology at Tshwane University of Technology, she ultimately gravitated towards pursuing a career in music. Over the years, she has been an integral member of various choirs including Reflection Raise Choir and Tshwane Gospel Choir.
In 2017, Mmtema released her first album titled “Love Praise & Worship,” marking a significant milestone in her musical journey.
