About MJ Hegar
MJ Hegar is a politician who gained prominence as the Democratic nominee for a US Senate seat in Texas during the 2020 general election. She initially ran for the House of Representatives in Texas as a Democrat in 2018, narrowly losing that race.
Before entering politics, Hegar received her BA from the University of Texas at Austin and was commissioned as a US Air Force officer through the ROTC program in 1999.
