Michellie Jones is an Australian triathlete who was born on September 6, 1969. She gained prominence in the field of triathlon and won a silver medal at the inaugural Olympic triathlon in 2000.
Prior to her success as a triathlete, Jones demonstrated her athletic prowess from a young age. However, she did not start competing in triathlons until she reached the age of 30.
In addition to her Olympic achievement, Jones also secured consecutive ITU Triathlon World Championships titles in 1992 and 1993. Beyond her athletic career, Michellie Jones has a twin sister named Gabrielle.
