About Michelle Nicastro
Michelle Nicastro was an American stage actress known for her voice acting and singing performances in the Swan Princess series of animated films. Born on March 31, 1960, in Washington, D.C., she achieved fame through her work in musical theatre, including roles in the 1983 Broadway production of Merlin and the 1988 national tour of Les Miserables.
Before gaining recognition for her musical talents, Nicastro appeared in multiple episodes of the popular NBC soap opera Santa Barbara early in her career. She also released several solo albums such as Toonful, On My Own, and Reel Imagination throughout her life.
Tragically, Michelle Nicastro passed away at the age of fifty due to metastasized breast cancer. As a tribute to her memory, episodes of two television shows – The Event and Fairly Legal – were dedicated to her.
Nicastro grew up in Washington, D.C., before later settling in Los Angeles, California. Her marriage to television producer Steve Stark resulted in two children and lasted from 1986 until her passing in 2010.
