Michelle Hardwick is a British TV actress, born on February 26, 1976 in England. She rose to fame for her role as Vanessa Woodfield on the popular soap opera Emmerdale and also gained recognition for portraying Lizzie Hopkirk on the ITV medical drama The Royal.
Prior to pursuing acting, Hardwick underwent training at Scala Performing Arts and Park Lane College in Leeds, England.
One of her early credits includes a guest appearance in a 1998 episode of Coronation Street. In July 2013, she publicly came out as gay. She married Rosie Nicholl in April 2015; however, the couple divorced in 2017. In September 2019, she tied the knot with Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks and welcomed their son Edward Peter “Teddy” Brooks in October 2020.
