Melody Lacayanga, born on January 23, 1983 in San Francisco, California, is a dancer known for her participation in the hit Fox show So You Think You Can Dance. Melody finished as the runner-up and top female dancer on the show’s first season and later returned as an All-Star for the eighth season.
Before gaining fame on television, she grew up in a family of performers and began taking dance lessons at the age of 5, competing nationally. She also became a founding member of The Dance Company under the direction of Chris Jacobsen and attended The School of the Arts high school (SOTA) in San Francisco.
Melody Lacayanga is a Filipino-American who was born in San Francisco.
