Megz Alfonso is an American dancer born on May 9, 1987, in Long Island, New York. She gained recognition as a contestant on the twelfth season of the dance competition So You Think You Can Dance, where she showcased her expertise in hip-hop dancing.
Alfonso’s passion for dance began at the age of eight, influenced by her siblings. By thirteen, she had already started mentoring young dancers and eventually became a teacher specializing in hip-hop dancing.
After her stint on So You Think You Can Dance, Alfonso was invited to join the show’s live tour in 2015. She comes from a family with ties to dance; her sister has also worked at a dance studio.
