Megumi Fujii, born on April 26, 1974 in Japan, is a retired Japanese MMA fighter renowned for her exceptional career record of 26-3. She holds the distinction of being only the second mixed martial artist to begin their fighting career with 22 consecutive victories. Trained by Hiroyuki Abe, she made a remarkable debut by defeating Yumi Matsumoto in just forty seconds.
Outside of MMA, Fujii has also achieved success as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion and finished as a runner-up in the World Sambo Championships five times. Her family background includes a lineage of judo masters—her father Kuniaki and grandfather Masaru were both accomplished practitioners of the sport.
