About Maryana Naumova
Maryana Naumova is a Russian powerlifter known for setting more than a dozen weightlifting records in her age group. Born on April 22, 1999, in Russia, she gained recognition in 2015 at the Arnold Classic when she set a record by bench pressing 331 pounds (150kg). She has earned the moniker “the Princess of Barbell.” Naumova started lifting weights at the age of 10 and quickly became the first woman under the age of 18 to compete professionally.
Aside from her athletic achievements, Naumova is also notable for her support of the Communist Party in Russia and has served as an ambassador abroad for her country. She was born to Olga Ivanova and Aleksandr Naumov in Staraya, Russia.
