About Marsha Hunt
Marsha Hunt is an American singer, actress, and author born on April 15, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She gained recognition for her autobiography entitled Real Life: The Story of a Survivor which was published in 1985. Notably, she was the first black model to grace the cover of the British fashion magazine, Queen.
Prior to her fame, she moved with her family to California in the 1960s and attended the University of California at Berkeley. In addition to her literary work, she also appeared as Dionne in the rock musical Hair.
In terms of her personal life, Hunt married Mike Ratledge from Soft Machine in order to assist him with visa issues in 1967. She later had a relationship with Mick Jagger which resulted in a daughter.
