About Marjorie Main
Marjorie Main was an American movie actress born on February 24, 1890 in Indiana. She is best known for her portrayal of Ma Kettle in the Ma and Pa Kettle film series, appearing in a total of 10 installments. Prior to gaining fame, Main began her career working in vaudeville and later made her Broadway debut in 1916.
Main became renowned for being frequently cast in tough, domineering roles such as the Dude Ranch operator in the 1939 film The Women. She was married to Stanley LeFevre Krebs until his passing in 1935.
